GPS Visualizer is a free, easy-to-use online utility that creates maps and profiles from GPS data(tracks and waypoints), street addresses, or simple coordinates. Use it to see where you’ve been, plan where you’re going, or visualize geographic data (business locations, events, customers, real estate, etc.).

The following simple web page template can be used to display GPS data inside a clickable and scrollable Google Map. Simply upload points or tracks from a GPS, and give the resulting data the same name as the web page. For example, the data for this page is called gpx_loader.gpx. For free GPS download software that supports the GPX format, EasyGPS comes highly recommended. To convert other GPS file formats, try GPSBabel.

Waypoints and POIs – Free Software

PoiEdit

PoiEdit is a shareware program that manages all of your poi (places of interest) files from your desktop PC and saves/loads them to/from your Mobile Device. PoiEdit also enables you to download a vast range of poi files from the most uses poi sides in e.g. the UK, Netherlands, France.

GPSBabel

GPSBabel converts waypoints, tracks, and routes from one format to another, whether that format is a common mapping format like Delorme, Streets and Trips, or even a serial upload or download to a GPS unit such as those from Garmin and Magellan. This tool allows users to freely move waypoints data between the programs and hardware.

GeoConv

GeoConv is a coordinate conversion program, which converts between different coordinate file formats, coordinate types and datums. GeoConv is written by Eino Uikkanen

ITag – Photo Tagging Software

ITag is a free tool that is designed to make editing of key IPTC fields of your digital photos very easy.The editable IPTC fields are Headline, Caption and Keywords (which effectively translates into title, description and tags).The IPTC data can be read by other software such as IrfanView and Flickr.

Geocache Log

An easy to use Program that will log all your geocaching trips. You can add entries for caches you have found, caches you have hidden or details about caches you have yet to find.

Gpx2MapGpx2Map reads GPX format GPS data files and generates maps in PPM format.
