Using iPhone for navigational purpose? Here is a list of 15 GPS software that you can download and use with your iPhone for free.

  • Navizon is a wireless positioning system that triangulates signals broadcasted from Wi-Fi access points and Cellular towers to help the users find their way in most major metropolitan areas worldwide.

    Which software are you talking about? Are you looking for Garmin Mobile 4.0? Get it from here: http://www8.garmin.com/mobile/sprint-nextel/index.jsp

  4. I will have to say I’m disappointed in the Navizon software. Using an iPhone 1G, it was not able to pinpoint my home whereas the built-in Maps app found my house almost dead-on (which is kind of scary).

    Unless I’m not searching properly, it would also appear a lot of this software is no longer available for the iPhone. It would have been nice to see how the other software would work and how accurate it would be on a non-GPS phone. Maybe with the release if the iPhone OS 3.0 software, this could all change. It’ll be interesting to see what comes out.
